This policy applies to paid subscriptions to, and credit packs bought for, the Kaal Jyoti API, operated by GoAppsters Private Limited. It forms part of the API Terms of Service.
It does not apply to the Kaal Jyoti mobile app, which is free of charge: there are no subscriptions, no in-app purchases and nothing to refund.
The short version. Cancel any time from your dashboard — your plan keeps running until the end of the period you have already paid for, and no further payment is taken. There is no refund for the unused part of a period. If your first ever payment on an account was within the last 7 days and you have used less than 10% of the plan’s monthly credits, write to us and we will refund it in full. A credit pack is not refundable; what is left in it stays yours for 12 months. Nothing in this policy takes away a refund that applicable law requires.
1. Cancelling
You can cancel at any time from Dashboard → Plan. Cancelling stops the next payment. It does not end the period you have already paid for: your plan, its limits and your keys keep working until the date shown on that page, and the account moves to the Free plan after it.
There is no partial-period refund. Cancelling on the twentieth day of a month does not refund ten days, and we do not pro-rate. That is also why cancellation is always scheduled rather than immediate — ending a period early would throw away something you have paid for.
Moving to a smaller plan is not a cancellation. Use Change your plan on the same page: the change is scheduled for the end of the period you have paid for, nothing is charged on the day you ask, and the smaller plan starts on that date without you having to come back. You can call the change off any time before it takes effect.
Moving to a bigger plan takes effect at once. Razorpay works out what the rest of the current period costs on the bigger plan and charges the difference to the card already authorised on the subscription; the new allowance is available as soon as Razorpay confirms that charge — usually within a minute, later if your bank asks you to approve it. That pro-rated difference is a payment like any other under this policy, and section 2 does not make it a “first payment” a second time.
2. The 7-day refund window on a first payment
There is no free trial beyond the Free plan, so there is this instead. We will refund in full, on request, the first payment ever taken on an account if both of these are true:
- you ask within 7 days of that payment; and
- the account has used less than 10% of the plan’s included monthly credits since the payment — your dashboard shows the number, and so does ours.
The subscription is cancelled at the same time. This applies once per account, to the first payment only — it is there so that nobody pays for a plan they discover does not fit, not as a way to use a month and hand it back. It is about a plan: the payment for a credit pack is never a “first payment” under this section (section 5).
3. Renewals are final
A renewal payment — the second and every later charge on a subscription — is not refundable, except where applicable law requires a refund. A subscription renews automatically until you cancel, the renewal date is on your Plan page, and we e-mail the tax invoice each time. If you meant to cancel and did not, cancel now: the current period runs to its end and nothing further is taken.
4. Annual plans
An annual plan is ten months’ price for twelve months, paid once in advance. The same 7-day rule as section 2 applies to a first annual payment, on the same two conditions.
After those 7 days an annual payment is not refundable, but you are not stuck with it: ask us and we will switch you to monthly billing at the next renewal instead, at the monthly price. The current year runs to its end either way.
5. Credit packs
A credit pack is extra credits bought once, on the plan you are on. It is not refundable, in whole or in part, used or unused, except where applicable law requires a refund, and it is not transferable to another account. It is not a subscription and never renews, so there is nothing to cancel.
- A pack lasts 12 months from the day it is paid for. Credits still in it after that lapse, without refund.
- A pack counts only while your account is on the plan you bought it on, or a higher one. If you move to a lower plan — or to Free, by cancelling or after a payment fails — the pack is frozen, not lost: it is not spent, it is not refunded, and it counts again when you are back on that plan or a higher one, until its 12 months are up. Freezing does not extend those 12 months.
- Cancelling a subscription, or deleting your account, does not refund a pack. Deleting the account ends it.
- A pack you were charged for twice, or charged for and never received, is an erroneous charge and is refunded under section 6.
6. Duplicate and erroneous charges
Refunded in full, always, and you do not have to argue for it. If you were charged twice for the same period, charged after a cancellation took effect, charged the wrong amount, or charged for a plan or a credit pack that never appeared on your account, tell us and we will return it. If we spot it first, we will refund it and write to you without waiting to be asked.
7. Outages
There is no service-level agreement on the Free or Starter plans, and no refund for downtime on any plan. Where an outage of ours materially affected you, write to us: at our discretion we may add extra credits to your account for the affected month — the same bonus credits your Plan page already shows added to that month’s allowance. That is the whole of it. Credits are not money: none of them, bonus, plan or pack, is redeemable for cash, and we do not refund cash for an outage. An agreed availability commitment with agreed remedies is an Enterprise contract — talk to us.
8. How a refund is paid
Approved refunds go back to the original payment method, through Razorpay, in the currency you were charged in. Razorpay typically settles within 5–7 working days of our approving it, and your bank may take a little longer to show it. We cannot refund to a different card, account or person. The GST included in a payment is refunded with it, and we issue a GST credit note against the tax invoice, which appears on your Plan page.
9. How to request a refund
E-mail support@goappsters.in with the subject Refund request, and include:
- the e-mail address on the account;
- the tax invoice number from your Plan page, or the date and amount of the payment;
- which of the sections above you are asking under, and anything we should know.
Write from the account’s own e-mail address where you can — it is the quickest way for us to be sure the request is yours. We aim to answer within 3 working days and to approve or explain within 7 working days. Anything else about your account — keys, limits, invoices, deletion — is on API support.
