Integrations
You do not have to write the requests yourself. Kaal Jyoti publishes 22 ready-made widgets, a WordPress plugin and four SDKs on top of the API. They add no calculation of their own: every number still comes from the API, and every request still costs that route's credits.
The integrations are published by GoAppsters under the Kaal Jyoti name, and are MIT licensed.
Ways to integrate#
| Way | What you get | Key | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Plain HTML | All 22 widgets from one script tag on cdn.kaaljyoti.com. Any site, no build step, no backend. | Publishable | Live |
| WordPress | The 22 widgets as blocks and shortcodes, a settings page, server rendering, PDFs through a proxy. | Publishable; secret for the server side | Not in the plugin directory yet |
| Shopify | The plain HTML widgets in a Custom Liquid section. No app to install. | Publishable | Live |
| Wix | The plain HTML widgets in an Embed HTML element, on any Wix plan. No app to install. | Publishable | Live |
| SDKs | Typed clients for TypeScript, Python, PHP and Dart: every route a method, retries, one error type. | Secret on a server | Live |
| MCP | The calculations as tools for Claude, Cursor and any MCP client. | Secret | Live |
| Embed recipes | fetch from a page, by hand: a panchang and an SVG chart in a few lines. | Publishable | Live |
If you are not sure, start with plain HTML: one script tag and a publishable key, and you can move the same widgets into WordPress, Shopify or Wix later with the same attributes.
<script src="https://cdn.kaaljyoti.com/widgets/v1.js" data-key="kj_pub_…" defer></script>

The widget catalogue#
Twenty-two web components in four groups. Each is a custom element in plain HTML, a block and a shortcode in WordPress, and the same attributes everywhere. Every one comes in four looks (Classic, Modern, Minimal, Traditional — the same four as the PDFs), in English and Hindi, light, dark or blended into your page.
Credits is what one use costs your account at today's prices: the routes in the table, each called once. A widget runs in each visitor's browser, so "per page view" means per visitor, and "per submit" means each time a visitor sends a birth. Identical requests on one page are made once, and sending the same birth again costs nothing.

Kundli & Match
| Widget | What it shows | Routes | Credits |
|---|---|---|---|
Kundli form<kj-kundli-form> | A birth form and a tabbed report: overview, charts, planets, dasha, life areas and, if you choose, readings. | /v1/kundli/v1/kundli/dasha/v1/reports/lagna | 7 per submit, for the overview; more per tab opened |
Match (Ashtakoot)<kj-match-form> | Two births scored out of 36 as a ring, the eight kootas, both Moon signs and Mangal dosha. | /v1/match/ashtakoot/v1/kundli ×2 | 3 per submit |
Two more things a page can spend on:
- Place search. The birth forms search for a place with Photon
(OpenStreetMap) or Google by default, which cost no Kaal Jyoti credits.
Searching Kaal Jyoti's own index,
GET /v1/places, costs 1 credit a search; it is what the forms fall back to when the others fail. - PDFs. The kundli report and the match result can offer a "Download PDF" button: 1,000 credits for a kundli PDF, 500 for a match. See PDFs and the proxy below.
Every plan can place every widget and call every route a widget uses; the month's credits do the limiting. A key that has used them up gets a polite "Monthly limit reached" card in place of the widget, never a raw error. The whole price list is Credits per API.
Keys, and where each one runs#
| Key | Where it runs | What it cannot do |
|---|---|---|
kj_pub_… publishable | A web page: the widgets in a visitor's browser, on any site or in the WordPress plugin, the TypeScript or Dart client on the web. | Work from an origin it does not list. Call /v1/transit/scan, /v1/match/batch or any PDF. Read the account's balance. |
kj_live_… / kj_test_… | A server: the SDKs, MCP, the WordPress plugin's server rendering and proxy, a proxy of your own. | Travel in a page or an app binary. It is refused in a query string, and a secret in a <script> tag is not a secret. |
A publishable key is meant to be readable; the list of origins on it is what
protects it. The month routes (/v1/panchang/month, /v1/ephemeris/month)
and the year's transit events (/v1/transit/events) are open to it, at 20
credits and ten requests a minute. See
authentication.
What a request cost is on every answer: meta.credits in the JSON and
X-KJ-Credits as a header. X-KJ-Credits-Remaining, the account's balance,
goes to secret keys only, so the widgets show no usage meter; the
dashboard does.
PDFs and the server proxy#
A PDF is never made for a publishable key, on any plan. So a widget that offers one does not ask the API itself: it sends the request to your own site's endpoint, a small proxy that checks it and calls the API with your secret key. The key stays on your server.
- WordPress has the proxy built in: paste a secret key, switch PDF downloads on, and the kundli report and the match result show the button.
- Any other site can write its own. The contract — what the widget sends, what the proxy must check, what it relays — is in widgets → the server proxy.
- Shopify and Wix have no server of their own to run a proxy on, so a store or site there has no PDF button.
PDFs are on every paid plan and not on Free; each also uses one PDF of the month's allowance (Starter 50, Growth 200, Scale 500, Enterprise 2,500). A proxy can also cache the two month widgets, so a busy page costs one month request per place rather than one per visitor.
